"IF THERE EVER COMES A DAY WHERE WE CAN'T BE TOGETHER, KEEP ME IN YOUR HEART. I'LL STAY THERE FOREVER."
Winnie the Pooh
These quilted hearts are a quick and easy project...just in time for your Valentine's décor or they're perfect left out all year long. They really make a statement hanging from a door knob, drawer pull or a coat hook. They would even look great on your front door in lieu of a wreath or perhaps added to a wreath. These hearts are made from old quilt remnants, but they would also look great made from vintage fabric. We made our hearts long and skinny like the ones that inspired us by Marcie from Moonwater Market.
These are made like a pillow...sewn together on a machine with right sides together.
A small opening was left so the fabric could be flipped.
A small triangular pouch, filled with rice, was placed in the base of the heart. This gives the heart some weight.
It was then stuffed with fiber fill. With needle and thread, the opening was then whip stitched closed. Add cording, lace or ribbon to the top of your heart to act as your hanger.
Embellish with ribbon, lace and a small trinket.
Enjoy!!! Happy Valentines!
