AUTUMN...THE SEASON THAT TEACHES US THAT CHANGE CAN BE BEAUTIFUL.
Nothing screams autumn like pumpkins, and we have a plethora of them to share with you along with a bit of our autumn décor. Some of the pumpkins we've made, others we've purchased and of course, we always buy a few from a local vendor.
We've always loved the velvet pumpkins. They have such an elegant beauty. We've made ours in several sizes, filled them with rice and attached real pumpkin stems to them.
With our velvet scraps, we made acorns using the caps from Burr Oak acorns and Live Oak acorns.
On a few of our velvet pumpkins we've used handles from old silver plated flatware for the stems along with some feathers and a satin bow.
These were crafted from vintage pieces of needlepoint found at thrift stores and local flea markets...these are also quite elegant.
Look at these made from old books. Don't you just love them? They're really easy to make and can also be made quite inexpensively. Old books can be found at your local thrift store. You can make these in a variety of sizes, and you really don't even have to add color to them, but we kind of like the touch of orange.
How cute are these? These pumpkins were purchased from a local market and them a message was added using script cut out with a Cricut.
